This is Dilolo. He absolutely beautiful but he is also a total punk, running around group three terrorising everyone. Every time I come to see group three, which has all the juveniles in it, Dilolo throws dirt at me.

Poor sad bonobos…I think they just like the attention…that did look like a nasty little wound though!!

Poor little guy. Just like a little boy, running around reeking havoc…..until they get hurt and then they are the biggest sulkers. It’s funny, everyone always tells me I like the primates because I have boys all around me and that’s just what I’m used to. Yeah, whatever. He does look like he really is happy to be getting a hug. I love how he is smiling. Oh, and what’s up the with pictures that aren’t there? I miss seeing them….they put a smile on my face and I like sharing them with friends and family. Lisa, California

I hope that Dilolo can be better day by day! He is just cute! Please take care of him! And thank you for your great work! For other part, how is Lomela doing???

Thanks for the update. It’s wonderful to know that it is impossible to resist Dilolo’s crazy- beautiful smile. He really is just like a little boy. How are Lomela and Kata doing?

Hi, Your story brought a big smile to my face, until Dilolo got hurt. I was not expecting he would fall and receive such a wound. I hope he is back to his ‘punky’ normal-self soon, but with improved navigation skills. Please give Dilolo another hug for me. I can’t wait to hear more bonobo stories. I, too, would like an update on Lomela and Kata?

Can we PLEASE get an update on Kata and Lomela, PLEASE!!!!! Are they both healthy? Has Dilolo’s wound healed?

Now with Vanessa gone, I hope Lola Ya Bonobo does not stop posting. We all got so attached to little Lomela and Kata. Please keep going with the posts and updates. And please fix the pictures. I was using this site to send to all the kids, as a way of spreading the word on the plight of the bonobo, because all the pictures were so darling. Please, please keep it going. Lisa Post a comment
