Mabali from group 3 has had a terrible accident. We think he has broken his leg. Michel, the French vet and our head vet Crispin have isolated him to try and find out exactly what’s wrong. It looks something like a torn ligament across the knee. Even though he is isolated, he’s never far from the mamas Anne Marie and Clemence, who are also in quarantine with the new arrivals, Masisi and Lukuru who provide a welcome distraction. Yesterday, we tried to put Mabali in the nursery but there was too much playing! We’ll have to go slowly until his leg gets better…

Oh, poor baby. Any idea how he broke his leg? I’m sure the mamas are giving him lots of love and attention. BTW, when do you arrive in Congo, Vanessa? s.

Poor littel thingg…maybe a bit too much rough playing? Hopefully he will heal very quickly. Same questions as Sheryl…do you land back in Congo this month?

Poor little guy. I hope it’s a ligament and not a break.
